A near miss may be a good thing ...

It has been a long while since I made the time to post anything on Nailing Jello.  Sometimes life just takes over -- maybe more about that later.

In the meantime, today is the day before the 2016 election finally comes to an end.  At the risk of jinxing the outcome, it appears that Hillary may pull out a victory (if you can call any end of this long nightmare a victory).  Contrary to all the Chicken Littles in the media (right and left) who are either warning against or even predicting the end of the American republic and democracy as we know it, I suggest a different November 9 (day after scenario).

There is no doubt that the Trump campaign has provided a glimpse of what the path to an authoritarian disaster could look like.  At the end of the day, that glimpse of a near miss could be the salvation of the United States rather than a precursor of the end times.  Let's revisit that thought the day after tomorrow.
